About Our Site

GreenhouseGrowing was formed to offer a unique reference point on greenhouse planting, potting, heating and watering.

Growing your own food is once again growing in popularity throughout the UK. However mild our British climate is, the fact is that some tender vegetables and non-hardy plants may struggle to thrive.

Greenhouses are a great addition to any gardening and vegetable-growing enthusiast's garden. They not only allow us to grow a wider variety of our own produce, but give tender plants a much better start. For many gardening devotees, the greenhouse is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living.

So with this in mind, we created GreenhouseGrowing as the ultimate greenhouse resource in the UK. Whether you're a seasoned greenhouse grower, or just starting out, you're sure to find relevant, interesting articles and advice at GreenhouseGrowing. Topics covered range from discussing the different styles and designs of greenhouse, propagation techniques and greenhouse equipment to watering systems and how to keep your greenhouse pest and disease free.

We've also provided handy guides that help you to make the most of your greenhouse throughout the seasons. If you're a fan of organic garden techniques, then you'll also find information on how to make your greenhouse as eco-friendly as possible. We're frequently updating the articles available on GreenhouseGrowing so there's always a reason to keep checking back.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.

Our Background

GreenhouseGrowing was founded by John Rowlinson, the founder of PtS.

John, through PtS, is involved in a number of ventures including software and property companies. A percentage of revenue from these activities goes towards funding GreenhouseGrowing and a number of similar sites.

Our focus is simply on having experts create the highest quality information possible that is widely read.
